Testimonials

I've often called Dough the "Exponential Man" in my mind. He's always hunting and gathering: paradigms, frameworks, organizing principles, insights and intuitive leaps. And since I am way over getting smarter and much more dedicated to pursuing wisdom, these things are of great value to me personally.

I want to be among the folks Doug debriefs with. I want to be tracking and growing and deepening. I want to expand organically and holistically, not linearly and mechanically.

- Diana Gonzalez, life coach and network leader

I find myself in an increasingly public role at church and in business, and it's getting harder to be able to share those thoughts that I haven't quite figured out yet. Especially when those thoughts might affect someone personally.

It's great to have a place to try to figure that stuff out, and have meaningful conversations about it without concern that it will push someone off the edge of the cliff. Which comes down to safety. My experience has been that [this] is a place where everyone is OK with me not being OK. Because, frankly, there's a lot of stuff that's not OK in me....

Another reason why: I love the powerful questions, and watching people interact around questions that really cut through the baggage. I can see that a lot of that will go on here. And it's great to be in a community of people who value growth and authenticity.

- Danny Coyle, businessman and church planter

Doug has this homing instinct to identify the underlying principles in a situation — the “Kingdom non-negotiables” that we really need to live by in order to live fully and well — but he always manages to apply these “givens” with warmth and a deep understanding of the uniqueness of people.

He is so good at creating a dynamic growth context that balances unshakable truth with loads of room for personal expression and application. Doug's depth of experience walking with leaders — both in time and variety of situations — has given him incredible flexibility in style and an eye for high-impact, real-life application.

All my interactions with Doug Fike have awakened hope and freedom and joy. His passion to see people thrive encourages new growth, new confidence, new insights, new resolve and new faith.

Doug continually stimulates expectation for a vitally alive future, all delivered with humor and humility. Being around him is like breathing pure oxygen and realizing, "Wow...this is more like it!"

- Sue Berube - writer, thinker, and mom to many

Walking with Doug has taught me that it's important not to focus so heavily on the endgame that we start to care more about the product than the people. Largely because of his input, “collateral damage” is no longer an acceptable part of the process for me.

I've been learning how to live in the here and now, and to better understand the impact of my words, choices, and actions on the people I work with. It's easy to “value people” in a real but very vague way. Before I met him I would have told you that people were my first priority, but I wasn't really living that out.

He's helped me really make that true in my life in a practical and powerful way. I've learned how to actually become aware of people, understand their individual needs and giftings, and steward my relationships well.
